Friday Feature: Boerne Moms Edition - Meet the “Boerne Bread Lady”

Here at Boerne Love, we’re thrilled to highlight the incredible moms in Boerne who pour their hearts into making a difference in our community. Through their unique talents, dedication, and passion, these inspiring women bring something truly special to our town. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Taylor, better known as the “Boerne Bread Lady” and owner of @taylormadegoods!

A Journey from Passion to Business

Taylor’s bread-baking journey began in September 2023 when she set out to make her first loaf of sourdough. What started as a personal goal soon blossomed into something bigger than she could have imagined. After sharing her sourdough with family and friends, the requests to purchase her bread came pouring in. Taylor soon realized that there was a strong demand for fresh, organic bread made without any processed ingredients—something she’d wanted for her own family.

As word spread, Taylor’s bread gained a following solely through word of mouth and her social media updates. She now shares a weekly menu on her ordering site, allowing customers to select their fresh sourdough and pick it up right from her front porch on Main Street. Her dedication to wholesome food has brought a new, delicious option to Boerne, and her journey continues to be a blessing for her family and her customers.

Why Sourdough?

Taylor’s decision to start baking sourdough wasn’t random—it was a result of a thoughtful push towards healthier, unprocessed foods for her family. Every loaf she bakes is made with organic, high-quality ingredients and is long-fermented to bring out the full benefits of sourdough, including easier digestion and better blood sugar regulation. This commitment to real, clean ingredients has created a special connection with customers, including diabetics and those with food sensitivities, who now find they can enjoy bread without discomfort.

Boerne Roots & Family Life

Taylor’s ties to Boerne run deep. She and her husband are raising three wonderful children—Waylon (7) and twins Maverick and Isabella (3)—alongside their Brittany spaniel, Riggs, and a small flock of chickens. As a homeschooling mom, Taylor shares a love for Boerne’s natural spaces with her kids, often visiting favorite spots like the Cibolo Nature Center and Arrows Play Park. During the holiday season, the family loves Dickens on Main, where they walk Main Street to see Christmas lights and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Favorite Spots for Community & Connection

Boerne is filled with family-friendly events and unique local businesses, and Taylor makes the most of them. Whether she’s taking a walk with her kids by Cibolo Creek or gathering with friends at Cibolo Brewing Co., she finds joy in connecting with her community. The rich blend of local events and spaces in Boerne is part of what makes it feel like home to her and her family.

Supporting Boerne with Every Loaf

For Taylor, “Taylor Made Goods” is more than a business; it’s a way to serve her community by providing bread that’s both nutritious and delicious. She’s incredibly grateful for the support Boerne has shown her small business, which continues to grow thanks to the community’s love for fresh, local products.

Thank you, Taylor, for being an incredible part of Boerne’s small business community and for helping other families eat well, one loaf at a time!
