Christmas in Boerne
Boerne’s Dickens on Main celebration takes place on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The annual event transforms downtown Boerne’s Hill Country Mile into a vintage Christmas experience, complete with visits from Santa Claus, live music, free children’s crafts, unique vendors, food trucks, and snow along Main Street. Carolers, musicians, and street performers will be up and down Main Street throughout Dickens, creating lots of surprise and delight for visitors.
Since its start in 2000, the kickoff to Boerne’s holiday fun has grown from its humble beginnings and now includes:
Live music and carolers throughout the venue
An exciting ice carving show set to music
Street performers roving up and down Main Street
Last Chance Forever “Birds of Prey” live bird show
Amazing shopping, decorations and lights
Lots of great photo opportunities
The official tree lighting takes place at Main Plaza on Friday. The streets will close each night of Dickens at 4 p.m. Parking is available on adjacent streets and lots around town on a first-come, first-served basis. We suggest arriving early and wearing comfortable shoes.
